Biography Johnathan Thurston joined the Bulldogs in 2001 as a five-eight.

Johnathan became a regular member of the Flegg team and played in the Premiership winning team against Cronulla.

In 2002, Johnathan was a regular member of the Premier League team and broke Brent Sherwin's 1998 reserve grade record for the most points in a season. He scored 202 points in 16 games.

Johnathan received the opportunity to play in the NRL against Newcastle when Adam Perry was injured. He returned to the Premier League to play in the Premiership winning team against St George Illawarra.
