Biography Michael Hagan joined Canterbury in 1983 as a five-eight.

The brother of Bob Hagan, Michael started in third grade but by mid-season was a regular member of the reserve grade team. He received the opportunity in first grade against Newtown as a replacement.

In 1984, Michael was a regular member in the reserve grade team but in 1985 became a regular member of the first grade team as a five-eight while Terry Lamb spent time at lock.

Lamb was injured during the finals and Michael played in the Premiership winning team against St George as five-eight.

In 1986, Michael moved to the centres mid-season and played in the Grand Final against Parramatta.
