Biography Neil Baker joined Canterbury in 1981 as a goal kicking five-eight.

Neil became a regular member of the reserve grade team and received the opportunity to play first grade against Newtown as a replacement. He played first grade as fullback when Greg Brentnall was injured.

Neil captained the reserve grade team in the Preliminary Semi-Final against St George.

In 1982, Neil was a regular member of the reserve grade team and played first grade when Garry Hughes was injured.

In 1983, Neil was a regular member of the reserve grade team and played in the reserve grade Semi-Final against St George.

In 1984, Neil joined South Sydney to play 87 games from 1984 to 1987 as five-eight.
