Biography Tim Pickup played for Blackpool Borough in 1970 as a fullback.

Originally a Western Suburbs junior, Tim returned to Australia in 1972 to join North Sydney. He played 54 games for North Sydney between 1972 and 1974.

Tim played for NSW and Australia in his initial season in first grade. He played five games for NSW from 1972 to 1975 and played seven Tests for Australia from 1972 to 1975. Tim was a member of the 1973 Kangaroo Touring team.

Tim joined Canterbury in 1975 and captained the team as a halfback. He captained Canterbury on 23 occasions between 1975 and 1978.

Tim's seasons ended prematurely when he suffered a knee injury playing for Australia in the 1975 World Cup.
