Biography Kevin Goldspink joined Canterbury in 1963 as a lock forward.

The brother of Colin Goldspink, Kevin started his initial season in reserve grade and received the opportunity to play first grade against Western Suburbs when Kevin Neal was injured.

Goldspink was able to secure a regular first grade position midway through the season when Heinz Blume was injured. He was to become a regular first grade player for the next seven seasons.

In 1964, Kevin moved to the second row and lost his first grade position to Ralph Harding, however he returned to first grade later in the season when Don Hobson was relegated.
