Biography Jack Morrison became the first player to captain Canterbury when he led the team out to play North Sydney at North Sydney Oval in round 1 of 1935.

Jack was also the first player to captain NSW in both Rugby Union and Rugby League.

Jack was recruited by South Sydney from the Randwick Rugby club in 1931.

Primarily a centre, Jack also played five-eight for South Sydney.

In 1931, Jack played in the Premiership winning South Sydney team but was unfortunate to miss the Grand Final in 1932 due to injury. He played a total of 35 games for South Sydney.

Jack represented NSW against England in 1932.
