Biography Henry Porter played 16 games for Newtown in 1933 including the club final win over St.George.

A large prop forward, Henry was nicknamed 'Tarzan' due to his strong physic.

After playing a season in Goulbourn in 1935 where he was able to earn his initial game for NSW, Henry joined Canterbury in 1936.

He was able to secure a first grade spot for the next 12 years only being interrupted by a move to Brisbane in 1945.
